He is responsible for pioneering afrobeat which evolves to what you now know as afrobeat(s) with the ‘s’
I am a lover of Fela’s songs
I love how he orchestrates his music
One of my favorite Track from Fela Kuti is titled *Army arrangement*
This is how the chorus of the song goes…

Talks about how Nigerian politicians steal money and how during Military rule nothing changed.
The army that was supposed to change everything instead joined in doing the same thing
So pathic
What Was Fela Preaching?
What he was trying to say is that one day everything is going to backfire on them and they are going to be caught
In other words “Every day for the thief and one day for the owner”
The fact that I love Fela Kuti and his music
I can’t agree less with what he was saying

But come to think about it ‘how long has Fela been singing?’
I am sure that song was sung before I was born
Over 30 years now
Fela Kuti is already dead too
Has it still changed anything?

Nothing seems to be changing oo
The same old people who are in power during Fela’s era are still the same old people who are still ruling today (as of the time of publishing this post)
A lot of musicians like Femi Kuti (Fela’s son), Falz, Burna Boy, and the likes also keep talking about the country, yet
Has anything changed?
I can’t argue with them whether or not if “One day go truly be one day” when things are going to change
But you and I should know this
Yes I too because I am not left out of this equation
If we don’t deliberately take action in life that “one day” will never come
Because today that you’re living in
Is been shaped by the decision you took some years ago
If you need a “one day” that will become different then you need to completely change your thoughts toward how things work
And start taking deliberate decisions on things
